Moving is really exhausting - both physically and emotionally. I caught a nasty cold and stopped posting things on the internet for a week or so.
But the bulk of the packing business is over now and I found this unfinished comic I drew last year. It’s about me running home which seems somewhat fitting.
I had plans to draw all the mundane things I did as a single girl - mostly the childish lazy things that you can do when you live alone and entirely unencumbered by the expectations of others - and call it “f’s Rules of Single Life”. My notes say:
1. Turn down social invitations and go collect stamps on your ramen card
2. Roll on the floor whenever you are the last one in the office
3. Run at full speed for no reason (I used to do this all the time, but especially when going home alone)
4. Make an effort to sleep at a different angle in your bed every night
Day 30 - A Congrats Banner For Finishing The Challenge
Chucking this up here purely for Melissa’s sake, because I did promise I would get total completion on the drawing challenge months ago. Well here it is - my Hataraki Man style victory banner. I also added a more general “drawings” link on the side-bar - for looking back through the meme crap as well as keeping track of the scribbles I may start posting more frequently.
Troy returned my lost glasses from Victoria yesterday, which makes me so happy that I drew this tiny self-portrait ☆
I have been so busy with my “new job” and stuff that I forgot to wish a dear friend Happy Birthday this week. I love you Lauren!!! <3
Day 27 - Someone You Love
I just really feel like drawing tonight. But you’re so much harder to draw with your short fuzz hair now John… You look like Paul Simonon
Day 26 - Something You Don’t Like
I am wickedly PHONE-PHOBIC. I believe it stems from shyness and intense anxiety around speaking to people in general. Txt me. (Or ring, if you’d rather help force me to get over my lifelong, irrational, debilitating fear of answering my phone. Tough love)
